Tegucigalpa, September 23 (PAHO/WHO). With the aim of promoting healthy lifestyles for the benefit of people and communities, PAHO/WHO, the Ministry of Health, the United Nations System and other invited organizations, marked the Week of Wellness 2022 in the Parque del Cerro Juana Laínez in the capital.
On the other hand, to mark PAHO’s 120th anniversary, various activities were carried out, including a walk along the park’s paths and the planting of 120 trees as the Organization’s commitment to environmental protection to mitigate the impact of climate change. Alice Shackelford congratulated PAHO/WHO staff, urging them to take care of their own health and mentioning the importance of health in achieving the other Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
