In this sense, Alejandra Méndez Girón, coordinator of the SMN, explained that this system is expected to affect the tropical depression, with winds of 45 to 62 km/h, the state Chiapas, Tabasco, southern Veracruz and eastern Oaxaca.

When will Lisa make landfall as a hurricane?

A federal official explained that Lisa is forecast to continue moving west and that the center of this system will make landfall Category 1 hurricane during the afternoon or evening Wednesday, November 2 on the central coast of Belize.

Center states not affected by Lisa

According to Méndez Girón, Tabasco will be heavily affected by the meteorological phenomenon; Due to its geographical position, it is a small country and the system is wide in terms of its belts.

For his part, Leonardo González Neri, manager of infrastructure protection and emergency services, said that there is 3,103 temporary shelters are available (981 in Quintana Roo, 534 in Campeche, 818 in Tabasco and 770 in Chiapas), activating those who are needed.
