In December 2020, the CARDIOPATCH project was born, which aims to open new paths in the treatment of myocardial infarction and provide solutions that improve the quality of life of patients.

The project, which will last until April 2023, is focused on the development of an “intelligent” patch of stem cells with the ability to regenerate tissue damaged by a heart attack. In order to achieve this, a patch will be made that will consist of collagen membranes in combination with stem cells. This patch will stimulate the formation of new blood vessels in the damaged area of the heart, promoting its recovery.
