Marion Reimerssports analyst, spoke out after engaging in a heated debate with his partner Omar Zerón during a TNT Sports broadcast.
Reimers disagreed with his teammate’s comments about Manchester City striker Erling Haaland, the debate got out of hand, and the commentator even “flew” Zerón.
“Forgive me! What are you saying? Don’t belittle me. And don’t interfere (said another panelist, Ricardo Murguía). Don’t belittle me and if you don’t like it, don’t come. You wanted a scholarship from the beginning of the program, why don’t you go better “Don’t disrespect me, you disrespect the production and the whole world, but hey, Zerón, what you say is the law,” Marion said.
After the lawsuit, the journalist received several criticisms, mainly from men who used the unfortunate situation to rant about misogyny, but it was the women who pointed out to her that the public’s upset was the result of a despotic and arrogant attitude if it had been shown in the program, so that the attacks would not have connections with the gender problem, but with their way of dealing with the situation.
“Friends: If a woman awakens your “deepest misogyny”, I advise you a few things: – Go to therapy – Stop spitting that, it’s sad and what’s worst: it’s dangerous. – It’s not the woman’s fault, but how they were educated. So… – Back to square one,” Reimers posted on Twitter.
Among the comments that flooded the TNT analyst’s post, the following stand out:

Unless the video of you making fun of your partner’s comment and trying to show it off for a scholarship was edited, I think your tweet is about you too,” shared a user identified as Blanca Boyzo.
“Don’t put us all in the same basket! Criticisms against her have nothing to do with her gender! You’re tired of hiding behind it,” she wrote on the account @marcelazmarrip.
“The arrogant and arrogant one who should go to therapy is you. At no point were they disrespectful to you, and you humiliated and denigrated your partner. The contempt you have earned is not misogyny, it is human reason in its purest form.” @rickmanoff commented.
